UAE denounces ground operations carried out by Israel in Gaza

According to the state news outlet WAM, which cited the foreign ministry of the nation, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) denounced the Israeli ground operations in the Palestinian Gaza Strip on Saturday.

UAE “expressed its deep concern over the Israeli military escalation and exacerbation of the humanitarian crisis that threatens more loss of civilian lives.” In 2020, the UAE became the first country in the Gulf to normalise relations with Israel.

UAE expresses disapproval of the Israeli military’s escalation in the Gaza Strip and issues a warning about the risks to security and humanitarian relief associated with any ground operations Israel may undertake against Palestinian civilians.

The UAE also issued a warning over the security and humanitarian repercussions of any ground operations carried out on Palestinian residents by Israeli occupation forces.
